MATILDE G, Singapore-based Italian singer, songwriter, producer, and Musivv Global Ambassador, has been pushing boundaries with her style of pop music. Musivv caught up with the teen pop star to talk about her newly released music video for her latest single 'Hypocrite'. The song was written on a personal level and Matilde admits she wrote it based on a recent experience.‍

MTV, how did that happen? How does it feel?

Being featured on MTV was a dream come true for me. I’ve always been a fan of the channel and its role in shaping popular culture. It was a surreal experience to see my music video on such a big platform, and it gave me a sense of validation that my work was being recognized by a wider audience. The opportunity has opened up a lot of doors for me, and I feel grateful and excited for what the future holds.

What part of the video creation process did you enjoy the most/ did you dread the most?

I absolutely loved the brainstorming and conceptualization phase of the video creation process. It’s always exciting to see how an idea in your head can be translated into visuals and come to life on the screen. On the other hand, I must admit that the post-production stage, where we have to review and edit the final product, can be a bit tedious and time-consuming.

How much involvement did you have in terms of creative input?

I had a lot of creative input in the making of my music videos. As a singer-songwriter, I have a clear vision of what I want to convey through my music and visuals, and I worked closely with the creative team to ensure that the final product reflects that vision.
