The compelling story behind the song 'Move With The Waves' is as moving as the song it warrants an introduction from the prolific singer/songwriter herself. Meet Roro. "This has been a very long journey of mine and I’m so happy that despite all the world-shifting events that happened in 2020 so far, I managed to write, compose and create this song “Move With the Waves.” It was all made possible through the love and support I garnered during this creative process. I wrote these lyrics after a day spent at the sea wake surfing; I had just started to learn and up until then, I didn’t have a good relationship with water. After that day, I spent some time reflecting on life and reminiscing about all the magic of growing up by the sea. The song is about my bond with my
father through his connection with the sea and mine as well. He used to be a scuba diver and was fascinated with the sea until one day, it took him away. Since then, I never really wanted to be in an ocean, never wanted to do any water activities as I was scared it would take me away too. When I started to wake surf, I started to understand where his love for the sea came from and I felt connected to him through riding waves. It’s a song that explores how across sadness, there is always love and no matter what we go through in life, we can always see there is always light at the end. We keep moving, contemplating the infinite possibilities. I hope you guys enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed writing it, working on it, recording it and finally releasing it."
